Tip 2. Say I want to quit smoking because I do not want to be chained to an oxygen supply just to breathe. I used to be able to run five miles, but now I grow winded walking to the mailbox. Even if smoking does not kill me outright immediately, I am facing a future with a greatly reduced quality of life.

Say I want to quit smoking because I am tired of my hair, clothes, car, and home smelling of stale cigarette smoke. Even though I am the one responsible for the odor, I find it nauseating and unpleasant.
